There is little doubt the business has competition, but Spotify had a major head start and, as a result, still dominates its corner of the market.

The core statistics pretty much speak for themselves: Millions of paying subscribers, more than 35 million songs, 65 markets globally. Ten years ago, Daniel Ek and Martin Lorentzon founded Spotify-the Sweden-based music streaming platform now used by 180 million people around the world.
